This is a Design-Bid-Build project to construct a new 83,000-square-foot, two-story Common Mission Control Center. Project includes utilities, fire detection/suppression system, intrusion alarms, special secure and controlled infrastructure (multi-network, reliability/redundancy criteria), pavements, site improvements, landscaping, communications and parking. Additionally, this project included a new 12 MVA electrical substation and supporting infrastructure. This project complies with DoD Antiterrorism / Force Protection and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility requirements per the Unified Facility Criteria. The constructed 5,600-square-foot server room has redundant cooling back-up, full UPS power back-up for the server room and operating systems, and 2.4 megawatts of generator back-up. Due to the nature of the mission the building was highly secure with CCTV monitoring of the entire facility.
